Here, you will find essential guidelines and regulations to ensure a fair and exciting competition. Please read through the rules carefully before participating to make the most of this innovative event. Happy hacking!

 

Eligibility:

  • This hackathon invites ONLY working Professionals of all backgrounds and skill levels who have a passion for GenAI and data analytics.

  • Committee members are not allowed to participate.

  • A team can comprise Engineers and Product Managers from different organizations.

 

Team Formation:

  • Each team should consist of 1-4 participants.

  • Solo participants or larger teams with more than 4 members may be allowed based on the organizer's discretion. Please contact the Hackathon Committee for the same.

  • All teams should have a distinct team name and team leader for identification.

 

Registration:

  • You need to register your team along with details of the participating members latest by the 17th of August, 2023. No registrations will be accepted after this.

  • Details of the members to include key contact details like contact number and Email ID.

  • A particular individual can participate in the event only once and can be a part of only of the teams.

 

Judging Criteria:

Submissions will be evaluated based on innovation, technical implementation, practicality, and potential impact. The judges' decisions will be final.

 

There would be 3 parameters on which the judging would take place.

  • Ideas and Design Showcase: Judges would examine the results of the solutions that are going to be visible to an average consumer. The platform/code/solution used would not be covered here
    Weightage: 30

  • Use of GenAI: Judges would evaluate the solution on the basis of Gen AI components used to derive the solution, in terms of proportion and quality. They would take a deeper look at the codes and approach used in the backend
    Weightage: 40

  • Business Presentation: Each team would be required to present their overall solution to the judges and the marking would be on the parameters on approach clarity, solution effectiveness, business context and potential business benefits
    Weightage: 30

 

Project Submission Guidelines:

  • Submissions should include a working prototype or proof-of-concept showcasing the AI solution developed during the hackathon.

  • Detailed documentation explaining the solution's functionalities and implementation should also be provided.

  • Any codes or notebooks involved to derive at the solution need to be shared separately.

  • Any other assets, libraries, SDKs or APIs used in the project to be clearly laid out.

  • A business presentation of 10 - 15 slides to be submitted and presented showcasing the solution approach in context with the business problem.

  • No development work to start before the actual date and time of the event launch, though the team members can brainstorm amongst themselves. Please note that not abiding by this rule may lead to disqualification.

  • Each team has to submit only one entry and one final solution for the hackathon. However, the team can describe and run through any model versioning created during experimentation and testing.

  • The project work has to be original and any plagiarism found would be subject to disqualification.

 

Solution Scope:

Participants are encouraged to bring their creative vision and their trusty laptop. In turn, we'll take care of the essential groundwork. We'll not only provide you with access to powerful Cloud tools but also ensure you receive expert guidance to kickstart your journey. Your idea, combined with our resources. Solutions should showcase how Generative AI can help address these problems. We look forward to witnessing innovative solutions that leverage Generative AI to tackle these challenges effectively.

 

Originality and Plagiarism:

Submissions must be original work created during the hackathon. Plagiarism or unauthorized use of others' work will result in disqualification.

 

Code of Conduct:

Participants must adhere to a code of conduct, treating fellow participants, mentors, judges, and organizers with respect and professionalism.

 

Intellectual Property:

Participants retain ownership of their intellectual property, but organizers and sponsors may have the right to view and evaluate the submissions for the purposes of the hackathon and related promotion.

None of the demos presented will be retained by the organizing team of Lifesight, Searce, or Google Cloud.

 

Timelines:

Participants must adhere to the timelines provided, including submission deadlines and presentation schedules. Specific rules around early access shall be shared in the coming weeks.

 

Code of Ethics:

Participants must ensure that their AI solutions comply with ethical standards, respecting user privacy and data protection.

 

These contest rules ensure fair participation, originality, and adherence to ethical guidelines while encouraging innovation and problem-solving within the AI domain. Participants should review and understand the complete set of rules and guidelines provided by the organizers before participating in the hackathon.
